Episode Six: You Liked Using My body For Your Risky Experiments

installation, 2019

metal wool, mirror, acidic water flow

size: 170cm x 130 cm

CO2 emissions into the air and water pollutants are affecting water pH levels, the effects of which can be clearly seen in, for example, the death of coral reefs. In this piece, acidic water is poured constantly onto a mirror surface covered with metal wool, gradually corroding the metal and destroying its structure. The innocent sound of the water dripping can be heard and no danger is perceived immediately. The installation makes the viewer more aware of the invisibility of destruction and danger, which ultimately leads to irreversible devastation.
